When the owners of 1703 Center Road requested an additional dwelling unit (ADU) to supplement their original custom home built by Urban Building Solutions, we could not have been more thrilled. Their original home has gorgeous hardwoods, an abundance of natural light, and luxury finishes. However, the family needed more space for guests and the owner of Urban Building Solutions, Hank, was the man for the job.
The ADU or guest house has become a hot trend lately, and we were pumped to be part of it. This new addition at 1703 1/2 Center Road is all about style and functionality, featuring a spacious living area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a private exercise room. It’s the perfect spot for guests and family members to enjoy, all while maintaining the chic look and feel of the original home. Let’s explore some of our favorite features of this new space.
Features We Love
The spacious balcony offers a quiet sanctuary for owners to enjoy their morning coffee or unwind after a long day. Plus, it overlooks the gorgeous Five Points neighborhood of Raleigh.
These sliding glass doors make the space feel open while providing an abundance of natural light for the kitchen and living areas.
One of the main reasons that the owners wanted this additional space was for the fitness room! This tiny space packs a big punch with room for fitness equipment and plenty of light pouring in from the windows.
We were able to make the most out of this small space with a chic bathroom design, complete with a unique corner sink.
