We are absolutely obsessed with this new contemporary home in Raleigh’s splendid Five Points neighborhood that we completed as a custom build for an Urban Building Solutions client!
With its modern exterior, complemented by large floor-to-ceiling windows, and pristine white siding, it is enough to make anyone do a double-take long look. If we do say so ourselves, the rooftop patio is one of its finest features, not to mention the inside—it’s even more gorgeous and the possibilities for interior decor are endless!
A Delightful Interior
227 Georgetown Road encompasses 2,800 square feet of interior space, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a three-car garage with three car lifts, for a total of six-car capacity. There’s even an elevator—something we can all appreciate when we’re tired after a long day and the thought of going up three flights of stairs with bags full of groceries is exhausting.
The main floor boasts an open floor plan, providing the opportunity to create a host of unique configurations of living and dining space. Additionally, the beautiful wood flooring is a nice complement to almost any furniture selections! Floor-to-ceiling windows bring in a ton of natural light, illuminating the space throughout the day. We wouldn’t even mind watching the rain from the windows they’re so awe-inspiring!
Any cook—amateur or gourmet professional—will feel right at home in the spacious kitchen with the large walnut-covered island that sits center stage in the room. It’s undoubtedly one of the greatest features of the space, supplemented by new KitchenAid appliances and custom tile backsplash in crisp, clean white.
Upstairs, both bedrooms feature electric blinds that are ideal for closing when it’s time to tuck into bed and peacefully drift off to sleep. The master bedroom includes a luxurious bathroom with vintage tile flooring, a large walk-in shower with built-in shelves, and plenty of cabinet space under the sink to store all of the spa-like toiletries and little luxuries this space warrants.
Rooftop Oasis
The third-floor terrace is where we expect the lucky homeowners to spend most of their time. It features beautiful stone tile floors, a kitchen with a sink, cabinet space, and a mini-fridge, plus enough space to create an extremely cozy hideaway. The kitchen is also ideal for mixing up drinks and/or snacks to take out onto the rooftop patio, which boasts a gas firepit, tile, and cable railing to protect kiddos, pets, and the clumsy friend we all know and love. Trust us, it’s heaven up there!
Location, Location, Location
One of the things that truly makes this house, “home”, is the Five Points address. This community is booming with craft breweries, unique shops, and both longstanding and up and coming restaurants. Plus, it’s right off of Captial Boulevard and Glenwood Avenue, so getting to downtown, the grocery stores at Midtown East (hello Wegmans and Trader Joes!), local parks, and anywhere else around town is a breeze.
