Eastcut
Raleigh Iron Works’ own “Sandwich Utopia” is a mecca for sandwich lovers. Founded by two partners originally hailing from New Jersey and The Bronx, Eastcut is an ode to the classic deli sandwiches of their youth. Their first location opened in Durham in 2018, while the Raleigh store opened in 2023, and both shops offer chef-driven sandwiches inspired by traditions along the East Coast featuring homemade ingredients like housemade mozzarella—plus craft beer, cider, and wine.
The menu features a plethora of sandwiches, from classics like the Boardwalk Italian and Avocado Caprese to cheesesteaks and deli-style chicken cutlet sandwiches (the Parm and East-Katsu are both popular ops) to Southern sammies stuffed with pork carnitas and buffalo chicken. There are also share plates (you must get the housemade mozz sticks!), salads, sides, and three different burgers available for dinner—not to mention a special menu just for kiddos. In essence, no matter what kind of sandwiches you’re into, odds are Eastcut has you covered!
